The Tree of Light
SHINING BRIGHT THIS CHRISTMAS
The Tree of Light
The Tree of Light is shining bright in Eastgate Street, Gloucester again this year. After COVID-19 restrictions curtailed our event last year we have launched Christmas in Gloucester with a huge tree adorned with thousands of lights. On November 27th 2021 we had our usual spectacular switch-on, led by Father Christmas, the City’s Mayor, Councillor Collette Finnegan, the President of the Rotary Club of Gloucester, Richard Wright, and others, all hosted by BBC Radio Gloucestershire’s Jon Smith.
Please, please SCROLL DOWN to support the Tree of Light by leaving a message and make a small donation to help us help others. Every penny counts and goes directly to support our local causes.

The Tree of Light is the perfect way this Christmas, after such a difficult period, to remember a loved one, to wish someone good luck for the New Year or just to send a message out to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, whilst raising money for our local Gloucestershire charities.
What does the Rotary Tree of Light mean to you…?
‘It’s like doing something for the person that is not there anymore’. It shows that they are not forgotten’.
‘It is like sharing a moment with them. Like sharing a memory of a time gone by’.
‘It is about saying you still love them. It helps me to feel they are still part of my Christmas’.
‘It says that I have not forgotten those who have been part of my life. It is a symbol of my love’.

Gloucester’s Spectacular Tree!
The Rotary Club of Gloucester’s 2021 Tree of Light is a 36-foot high fir tree taking pride of place outside Gloucester Guildhall in the heart of the city centre. This is the 11th year of the Tree of Light and during that time your generous donations and sponsorship of almost £70,000 have helped us support dozens of local charities. This year your support is more vital than ever and we hope you can donate and log your message. Please SCROLL DOWN to leave a message and support these wonderful charities
